Cost
If you are interested in knowing how much diving might cost you, here are some guide prices (correct at Spring 2011):
> Try Dive - £20.
> BSAC Branch annual membership and initial (Ocean Diver) training course - £280.
> Cylinder fills - £3.00 to fill a 12ltr cylinder.
> Equipment rental (per day)- £25 (dry suit, undersuit, weight belt, tank, regs, BC, fins, mask, gloves, hood); computer - £5
> Typical cost of UK weekend diving trips (costs include boat dives and accomodation): £110
- weekend at Swanage/Portland staying in static caravan or B+B with 4/5 RIB dives.
Please note that although the use of pool lesson equipment is included in the ocean Diver price, with the additional cost of hiring equipment for open water training and the expense of the weekend of sea diving, the total cost will be closer to £500.
