Sport Divers: Our Training Officer, Graham, has been determined to continue training, where possible, those members who were part-way through courses when the pandemic struck. Following BSAC guidance and adhering to government requirements, he has enabled three members (Ryan, Tim and Tina) to complete their Sports Diver qualification!
New Trainees: It is hoped that the club will be able to offer training to new members in the near future, if pool access and social distancing rules allow - watch this space for updates.
Coronavirus: Regrettably we have had to suspend most club activity until further notice. However, if you are interested in trying a dive or receiving training, please contact us and we will arrange to accommodate you as soon as it is possible and safe so to do.
Socials: See the Socials page for upcoming and recent social activities.
Diving activity: Check out where we've been and planning to go on the Dive Trips page.
Scouts Try Dives: Eleven members of a local scout group arrived together during one of our monthly try-dive nights to give scuba a go. Thanks to the number of volunteer instructors who had come forward we were able to take two groups in at a time for one-to-one instruction. All participants seemed to thoroughly enjoy the experience, with some scouts making plans to start training as soon as they reach the required age! Thanks to everyone involved and the club looks forward to being able to host similar events in the future.
BSAC Conference Presentations: Some fascinating and informative presentations were given at this year's BSAC Diving Conference held in Birmingham. Click here to see those recorded by BSAC.
AGM: The club AGM was held at The Hare Inn, Long Melford at 7.30pm on Wednesday 6 November.
